Captain Nigel has been at the helm of Benita Blue since early 2014, leading the yacht with a calm, confident presence and a deep passion for the sea. Originally from the coastal town of Poole in Dorset, UK, Nigel began his career as a qualified electrician - but the call of the ocean soon led him to pursue his lifelong love of sailing.
Before stepping into the world of yachting, Nigel was an accomplished competitive sailor across Europe. Over the past two decades, he has built an impressive maritime career, logging over 115,000 nautical miles, including 10 Atlantic crossings and a Trans-Pacific passage. His experience as a sail captain has shaped his expertise, adaptability, and commitment to safety - qualities that now shine through in his leadership aboard Benita Blue.
This season marks his 12th aboard the yacht, and his transition from sail to motor yachts has only deepened his enthusiasm for providing outstanding charter experiences.
