Luka embarked on his sailing journey at the age of 7 and has never looked back. Growing up on the San Francisco Bay and later relocating to Europe, he has consistently competed in both dinghies and large yachts. His experience spans professional teams, collegiate sailing, Olympic classes, and match racing. At around 25, after completing his film studies in California, Luka chose to pursue a professional career in the yachting industry, taking on the role of captain in Europe. Over the years, he has managed several private boats and worked on charter yachts, enhancing his expertise.
For Luka, ensuring that his guests feel safe and comfortable on board is of utmost importance, and he strives to achieve this without being intrusive. Additionally, food and provision management play a crucial role for him, as he is a passionate cook with years of experience in his parents' restaurant kitchen. Creating a positive atmosphere onboard has always been his primary focus on every yacht he has sailed. Luka enjoys sharing his experiences and knowledge with both clients and fellow crew members. Whether he’s crafting a cocktail at dawn for his guests or discussing the physics of sailing, the ocean is his realm, and he delights in showcasing it to others.
In this own time, Luka continues to compete in sailing races and outside of sailing, he has a strong passion for cooking, fishing, snowboarding, photography, and film.
